Taschen "Haring" - product description "Haring" is a fascinating introduction to the life and work of Keith Haring 1958–1990 , one of the most distinctive figures of the New York art scene of the 1980s. Although his career spanned only a decade, Haring managed to create a unique visual language that has become a permanent part of pop culture. His style—blending street art, graffiti, and cartoon aesthetics—is characterized by thick, black outlines and vibrant colors. This publication from Taschen traces the artist's journey: from his first chalk drawings in the New York subway, through the iconic "Radiant Baby" symbol, to his large-scale sculptures and public interventions. The book presents Haring not only as an artist but, above all, as an activist who, beneath the guise of a joyful aesthetic, conveyed powerful social messages about racism, capitalism, and the AIDS epidemic.
